a) Outline the key events in the life of Ho qi Minh. Ho Chi Minh (born Nguyen Sinh Cung) was born on the 19th of May, 1890 in Hoang Tru Village, Vietnam. His father, Nguyen Sinh Huy, was a teacher, solo when later resigned in protest of have sex colonisation of his country. It was from his father that Ho gained inspiration to fight for Vietnamese independence. By 1914 he had travelled vastly, and learnt that Vietnam was non the only country suffering from French exploitation and that France was profiting immensely from it. In 1917 (some sources say 1919), Ho moved to Paris, France where he get unneurotic the French Socialist Party. He was determined to make himself perceive and dis tri anded flyers and leaflets denouncing French imperialism in Indochina. Ho travelled to Moscow in 1922 in what many believe was what marked the beginning of his arise to Communist prominence. Ho learnt of revolutionist tactics and the teachings of Marxism from the Russian variance led by Vladimir Lenin and Leon Trotsky.

In 1924 Ho travels to Guangzhou, China to wait on with the Chinese Nationalist Partys struggles to gain power, but by 1927 the communists are expelled from the city and Ho takes refuge in the Soviet Union. On February 3rd, 1930, Ho founds the Indochinese Communist Party (ICP) in the safe and persecution free Hong Kong.
